The Amateur Radio Forum for the 2019 National Hurricane Conference in New Orleans, LA was held on April 23, 2019.  In-between speakers, Joe Glorioso, N5OZG, with the Crescent City Amateur Radio Group made a special presentation to few people. Joe said, “Our group has decided to give out some Appreciation Awards.  People like Rob (Rob Macedo – KD1CY, Net Manager of the VoIP Hurricane Net), Julio (Julio Ripoll – WD4R, Assistant Coordinator with WX4NHC) and Bob (Bobby Graves – KB5HAV, Net Manager of the Hurricane Watch Net) need to be recognized for doing a great job.

Upon presenting a beautiful plaque to Bobby Graves, Joe said, “There’s a whole group of hams when they hear there’s a hurricane in the Atlantic or Gulf they’re always looking to find out when the Hurricane Watch Net is starting up. So, it’s well known down here. We thank you for your service and your team!”
